Hot Air Ballooning
- The Serengeti is rightfully world famous for its balloon rides.
- There are now two locations to balloon from. The centre of the Serengeti (Seronera) is good all year round and the "Western Corridor" is at its best in June/July.
- Kenya's Maasai Mara is also a fantastic ballooning destination, with the rift valley and Mara River
- Each flight starts at the crack of dawn, lasts for around 1 hour and is followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
Horse Riding
- Horse riding is one of our specialist guided activities.
- There are many fantastic riding areas which can easily fit in with the rest of your trip.
- West Kilimanjaro has high, cool plains on the side of the mountain where elephant and plains game may accompany you.
- Longido lends itself to riding trips of several days duration.
Mountain Climbing
- Tanzania has the highest mountain in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro but there are many other mountains to climb and hill walking areas
- Climbing Kilimanjaro takes from 6 to 8 days depending on the route you choose.
- Other mountains are the nearby Mount Meru which takes 3 days to climb and the Usambaras which are good for walking trips and are renowned for their high numbers of rare and endemic bird species.
Watersports
- With a 1000 miles of tropical coastline and the Zanzibar archipelago, Tanzania has a lot to offer.
- The scuba diving is excellent on Zanzibar, Pemba and the mainland at Pangani with 5 species of marine turtle, whale sharks, 3 species of dolphin and many undiscovered coral dives it is becoming a specialist divers destination.
